The Chestnut Barn is set within 12 acres of its own land, most of which is woodland providing uninterrupted privacy. It has plenty of parking and a fabulous patio to sunbathe with comfortable loungers. In the heat of the midday sun you can relax with a book under the pretty stone loggia overlooking the wonderfully scented lavender and jasmine garden. There are fabulous walks on the doorstep through ancient chestnut groves and you can even follow the trails once walked by St Francis of Assisi.

The comfortable lounge area is triple aspect with access leading outside onto the patio area and the pool. The Barn has WIFI throughout and Uk television can be accessed using a HDMI cable if you bring your own device. There is a selection of DVD's, books and board games available together with a CD music system which also has a USB point. There is a pellet stove for those autumnal evenings should you need it.
There is a stylish and comfortable Master bedroom on the ground floor with a king size bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and a large wardrobe. It has dual aspect windows and remains cool in the summer, although a fan is available if required. There are insect nets fitted to both windows should you wish to listen to the night time noises of the singing cicadas.
A hairdryer is also provided.
Bedroom 2 , can be found up a wooden chestnut staircase on the first floor. It is nestled in the eaves of the original drying section of the barn. This cosy yet comfortable room has 2 single beds, bedside table, chest of drawers and again has dual aspect windows fitted with insect screens.
There is a separate dining room.
Safety - There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher and First Aid Kit. Both external doors have either deadbolts or an external grill. The windows are protected with Roman bars. There is external lighting surrounding the barn and the garden area is fenced and secure. The lights can be turned off should you wish to experience the wonderful star filled skies without ambient light.
Please note that the Chestnut Barn does not cater for children under the age of 16.
The Bathroom is on the ground floor and has a large walk in shower, bidet, toilet and sink. The window again is fitted with an insect screen. Linen and towels including pool towels, are provided for your stay together with bath mat.
A change of linen and house clean takes place every Saturday morning.
Outside there is a shady pergola area which is perfect for alfresco dining. There is a gas heated BBQ.
The swimming pool is 5m x 10m in size and is accessed by a ladder, there is a deep end. The pool is cleaned before your arrival and again on Wednesday morning and more frequently if the need arises.
